The Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC) will participate in the 26th annual “Stamp Out Hunger” food drive, a collaboration with the U.S. Postal Service and National Association of Letter Carriers, on Saturday, May 12.
Residents are asked to leave donations of non-perishable food in a bag next to their mailboxes by 9 a.m. Carriers will collect the food on their routes that day.
AFAC aims to collect 30,000 pounds of food, part of a national goal of 80 million pounds.
In addition, donations can be dropped off at Arlington post offices no later than Friday, May 18.
