And then there were four.
Arlington resident Arron O’Dell has qualified to be on the ballot in the Nov. 5 County Board race.
“My focus is on affordability. I will work to keep Arlington the place we enjoy living in now while controlling costs and taxes” and “making the county more efficient and small-business friendly,” O’Dell said on a nascent campaign Website.
O’Dell pointed to the recently concluded fiscal 2020 budget process as emblematic of problems with local governance.
“Our taxes and fees increase again, but what is being done to give us a better value? We must examine our return on investment,” he said.
O’Dell will join Democratic incumbents Christian Dorsey and Katie Cristol and perennial contender Audrey Clement on the ballot. Others who wish to augment the foursome have until June 11 to file the requisite paperwork.
Dorsey and Cristol currently are in the last year of their first terms. Neither faced intra-party opposition for renomination.
