As they work to further imprint their message on the DNA of the Arlington community, Arlington Democrats are making a push for a greater social-media presence.

“Like us on Facebook,” party chairman Jill Caiazzo told the Democratic rank-and-file at a February meeting, noting that Albemarle County’s Democrats have more Facebook followers than Arlington’s Democrats do. (A mock-horror reply of “No!” filled the room.)

Caiazzo said the party wouldn’t stop until it had the most followers among Democratic organizations in the commonwealth.

“We’re going for Fairfax,” she said.
