The Virginia High School League released its first weekly football ratings for the 2014 season earlier this week. And it is so far, so good for Arlington teams.

The ratings are used to determine the playoff teams in the various classifications throughout the state.

If the season ended today, and it still has more than halfway to go, all three Arlington public school teams would make the playoffs, but two just barely.

The Wakefield Warriors (4-0) would be the No. 7 seed 5A North Region playoffs. Falls Church would be the top seed.

The Washington-Lee Generals (2-2) and Yorktown Patriots (2-2) would be the bottom two seeds in the 6A North Region playoffs. Centreville would be the top seed.
