Fairfax County business group rebrands self as Northern Virginia chamber

The Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce has named finalists for its second annual Greater Washington Innovation Awards.

Winners will be announced at a gala to be held April 21 at the Hyatt Regency Reston.

Finalists in the various categories include:

Tech Innovator of the Year: Altruista Health, CACI International, Leidos, LiveSafe, RightEye LLC, ThreatConnect.

Hospitality, Tourism and Entertainment Innovator of the Year: Airside Mobile, Marriott International, NOVA Parks, Tysons Corner Center.

Professional Service Innovator of the Year: Diamond Mind, International Business Sales and Service, The Millennial Solution, Washington Real Estate Investment Trust, Whereoware.

Health and Life Sciences Innovator of the Year: Aperiomics, Avizia, MEDEX Spot, Sisu Global Health.

Marketing and Advertising Innovator of the Year: Tysons Corner Center, Visit Fairfax, WeddingWire, WGL Holdings.

Public Sector Innovator of the Year: The ARC of Northern Virginia, Children’s Science Center, Comfort Cases, Federal Aviation Administration and Northern Virginia Community College.

The awards ceremony also will honor Steve Case as 2016 Lifetime Innovator and Tobin Moore and Adam Vitarello, co-founders of Optoro, as Emerging Innovators of the Year.
