Banfield animal hospital

Banfield Pet Hospital is hosting its official grand opening Oct. 12 at its new location, 12449 Hedges Run Drive, Lake Ridge.

To celebrate the newest standalone location, Banfield will host activities including refreshments, contests, giveaways, “Ask-the-Vet” sessions and hospital tours.

To give back to the pet community, Banfield will be providing free veterinary services to the Pet Assistance League of Virginia during the week of Oct. 12 and will donate 20 percent of Banfield’s opening weekend revenue to the organization.

The pet hospital will provide preventive care services that include annual examinations, nutrition counseling, dental exams and surgery. Amenities will include separate dog and cat exam rooms and boarding areas that play pet-friendly videos, a children’s FutureVet play center and a complimentary coffee bar.

Additionally, pet owners are invited to meet the local veterinarians and sign-up for a Banfield Optimum Wellness Plan, a comprehensive package of veterinary services that provides pet owners with year-round preventive care.

“We look forward to assisting local pet owners in the Woodbridge area by providing quality care for their pets,” said Dr. Sudhir Ahluwalia, lead veterinarian at the Lake Ridge hospital. “Banfield’s goal is to keep local pets happy and healthy through preventive medicine and by developing partnerships with the pet owners.”

Banfield Pet Hospital has more than 830 locations across the country.

The Lake Ridge location will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday; 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday; and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Drop-off hours will begin at 7 a.m. on Monday through Saturday. For more information, visit www.banfield.com.
