A new freestanding Starbucks — with a drive-thru — is expected to replace the small restaurant currently located inside Cheshire Station in Dale City.

A new major retailer at Manassas Mall and a new Dale City Starbucks are among the commercial permits issued recently by Prince William County planning officials.

The new Forever 21 Red at Manassas Mall received a tenant layout permit and the family-centric store is expected to open later this year.

Several sign permits were issued for the new Starbucks at Cheshire Station Plaza in Dale City. The standalone building will replace the smaller existing location inside the strip mall. Crews are currently working in Lake Ridge on a new cafe to replace the small shop at Old Bridge Road and Hedges Run Drive.

Chuck E. Cheese's on Shoppers Best Way in Woodbridge received permits for exterior improvements after a fire in front of the building caused it to close in March.

At Potomac Mills, Levi’s, Haagen-Dazs and Fossil are moving forward with remodels. Michael Kors and Unique Boutique requested sign permits. There was also a new tenant layout permit issued for Sweet Pick & Mix.

Mod Pizza received a permit for the layout at 13800 Smoketown Road in the space formerly filled by Glory Days Grill.


A TownePlace Suites by Marriott is planning construction at 14090 Shoppers Best Way, beside the Sleep Inn behind the Walmart.

Red Mango Frozen Yogurt received permits for a location at Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center.

Tropical Smoothie Cafe received a permit for a site at Dillingham Square.

Aaron’s at 13644 Jefferson Davis Highway has a permit for a remodel.


A remodel at the Gainesville Target at 13301 Gateway Center Drive will turn an existing Starbucks into a Snack & Go area.

Catholic Charities is expanding at Shoppers Square off Centreville Road, according to permits.

9 Rounds Fitness received layout permits at 9998 Sowder Village Square.

A Dollar General development received a permit for a site at 13005 Fitzwater Drive, near the intersection with Nokesville Road.

Before school started, Brentsville High School received a permit to replace bleachers in the gym.

DelRay Car Wash has permits for a site at 14580 Lee Highway in the Gainesville area.
