Sheetz will be holding a large hiring event on Wednesday after announcing plans to hire 2,500 new employees.
Open interviews will be held for full-time and part-time positions at all 568 locations, including convenience stores in Northern Virginia.
There are nearly 100 current openings in the Washington metro area listed at the Sheetz website.
The company is beginning construction on its newest site on Dale Boulevard and developers have submitted a permit application for a Sheetz on Dumfries Road near Independent Hill.
During the open interviews, prospective employees will learn about Sheetz's “inspiring culture, community engagement and disrupting the convenience category as we know it,” according to a news release.
“Our employees are so important to us,” said Stephanie Doliveira, vice president of human resources at Sheetz. “We are deeply committed to investing in our people, rewarding our employees and attracting the best talent for the job whether it's in the distribution centers, food production facilities, corporate office or one of our store locations.”
