An employee at Vienna Wolf Trap Hotel, 430 Maple Ave., W., told Vienna police on June 24 at 11:52 p.m. that a man had begun yelling and thrown a cup at her from the hotel’s third-floor balcony.
The man then allegedly approached her holding a rock and threatened to throw it at her, police said.
The man dropped the rock and walked away while the employee called the police. Officers located the man and, upon interacting with him, detected signs of impairment.
The employee did not wish to pursue charges for the assault, but banned the man from the hotel’s property. Police advised the man he may be charged with trespassing if he returns to the hotel.
Police arrested the 36-year-old man from White Post, Va., and transported him to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where authorities charged him with being drunk in public.
