Armed robbery at Dumfries phone store Wednesday

Prince William police are investigating an armed robbery Wednesday afternoon in Dumfries.

Two masked men entered the Metro PCS in the Dumfries Shopping Center at 17797 Dumfries Shopping Plaza and demanded money, according to a police news alert at 2:27 p.m.

One of the men was armed with a firearm, police said, and the men reportedly fled the business on foot.

A police dog responded to assist with the search and residents were warned to expect a heavy police presence in the area.

The robbers were described as two black males in their early 20s, approximately 5-foot-9, with thin builds.

One man was wearing a black jacket, white hooded jacket, jeans, black gloves and black shoes. The second man was wearing a black jacket, jeans, light colored gloves and red shoes with light laces.

"The robbers were described as two black males, approximately 5-foot-9, with thin builds. They were wearing gray and black hoodies and dark jeans."

These criminals should be easy to identify and apprehend in Dumfries.

Even odds that they live right there in Williamstown, also known at the Beverly Hills of Dumfries
