Detectives have identified the couple involved in an apparent murder/suicide at a home off Dumfries Road in Prince William County.

The victim was identified as Lemlem Hayelu Habte, 35, of Woodbridge. Her husband, Christopher Andre Quincer, 44, of Woodbridge, is accused of shooting the victim before shooting himself at a home on Majron Court on Wednesday, police spokesperson Sgt. Jonathan Perok said. Both died at the scene.

According to police, Quincer had injured Habte in an attack Tuesday at the couple's home on Balsam Street in Woodbridge. A family member was able to intervene and Qunicer fled. He was not located again until the fatal confrontation Wednesday.

Habte was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries and officers obtained a warrant for domestic assault and battery against her husband, Perok said.

Police escorted the victim back to the Balsam Street home, but Quincer was not located. Habte left the home Tuesday night to stay with family on Majron Court.

Police responded to the home on Majron Court for reports of a shooting around 10 a.m. Wednesday.
