Prince William police are investigating a strong-armed robbery of a Rite Aid in Dumfries on Monday.

A man wearing a mask entered the store at 18039 Dumfries Shopping Plaza around 10:02 a.m. and jumped over the pharmacy counter. He demanded prescription medications from employees, police spokesperson Officer Nathan Probus said.

After taking several bottles of drugs, the man fled through a rear door. No injuries were reported.

The robber was described as a black male, between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-10. He was wearing a dark hoodie, dark pants and dark shoes.

A Loudoun County pharmacy was the victim of a similar robbery Saturday. The robber in that case was as a white male with a goatee.
