Police officers never know what a shift might bring, but it's likely they'd never expect to spy a tiger on the prowl in Prince William County.

A county officer on routine patrol around a shopping center this week got a bit of a fright when seeing just that -- or so they thought.

The "tiger" in question prompted a Facebook PSA from county police:

"Note to business owners, when disposing of realistic, life-size animal statues, please do so with caution," the department wrote. "While on proactive patrol in a county shopping center, one of our officers experienced a moment of...uh...shock before realizing this little guy was harmless."
