Arlington Public Schools’ new director of transportation services brings a quarter-century of experience to the post.

Kimberly Wilks, who has been appointed transportation czar by the School Board, joined the county school system in 2016 as assistant director of transportation services. Previously, she served in transportation posts with Prince George’s County Public Schools and with the Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board.

Wilks “is a strong leader with proven proficiencies working in the public/private transportation arena,” school officials said upon the appointment.  “She has a record of knowledge, supervision, coordination and skills that deliver high-impact pupil transportation results.”

[tongue]What's she going to do about the morning traffic jams at all Arlington's schools from parents dropping off their kids...including parents who moved out of the County and rent their former condo residences or use their parents' address to keep their kids enrolled in APS?
