Former high-school principal to lead McLean Rotary

Deborah Jackson, the former principal of McLean High School, recently was installed as president of the Rotary Club of McLean for the 2019-20 club year.

Jackson a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority-LKO, Inc. the Women of Praise Choir, Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and is host of “Rotary Times” television show. She has been active in the club’s mentoring partnership with Timber Lane Elementary School

An inauguration ceremony for new Rotary Club of McLean leaders was slated to be held on June 18 at the McLean Community Center. Others on the leadership team include Courtney Nuzzo, president-elect; Dr. Lois Wilson, vice president; Jill Rawlins, secretary; and Jan Auerbach, treasurer. Paul Sawtell and Thamir Al’Hashimi will serve as sergeant-at-arms.
