Computer picks numbers for $100,000 win

What would you do if one of your co-workers told you he won the lottery?

George Calendar’s co-workers thought he was joking when he told them he won the lottery.

While the 20-year veteran of the U. S. Navy didn’t win the big prize, he matched all five numbers in the Feb. 17 Cash 5 night drawing to win $100,000, according to the Virginia Lottery news release.

He bought his winning ticket at BJ’s Wholesale Club, 5100 Wellington Road, Gainesville.

When he checked the winning numbers, he said he couldn’t believe it.

“I had to do a double take!” he said as he claimed his prize March 12.

He allowed the computer to randomly select the numbers on his ticket.
