The Leaseweb Manassas Airshow Trade & STEM Expo stalled a bit Saturday morning as rain kept the crowd sparse and dozens of planes on the ground.  Presented by Leaseweb and The Manassas Airport Regional Business Alliance, the show included a tribute to the late state Sen. Charles J. Colgan for his dedication to his constituents and the building of the area, including the Manassas Airport. Following the reading of a congressional declaration, Ray Colgan thanked the visitors for honoring the senator’s memory.

Jim Porter, of the Freedom Museum at the airport, introduced Tammy Perkins of Operation Give a Veteran a Car, who announced that Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Veronica Borrero of Quantico Marine Corps base was the recipient of a car sponsored by  Joyce Koons Honda, Buick, GMC of Manassas. The keys to the car were presented by Manassas Mayor Hal Parrish.

As the sky cleared and rain stopped, radio controlled planes took to the sky, followed by life-size planes.
