Prince William Humane Society offering pet food for federal employees

The Prince William Humane Society will be offering pet food for all federal employees impacted by the government shutdown.

The Prince William Humane Society will be offering pet food for all federal employees impacted by the government shutdown.

The organization will kick off its “Furloughed Pet Pantry” Saturday, Jan. 26, and it will run until the government reopens.

Government employees with a federal ID can pick up food for their animals at the Humane Society Adopt Shop at 17983 Dumfries Shopping Plaza in Dumfries.

The Humane Society is asking for donations to assist with this event.

Pet Nutrition Center has offered a 10 percent discount to federal workers and people donating for the Furloughed Pet Pantry event.
