Thousands of guests visited a Nokesville field for the annual Tank Farm Open House on Sept. 7-8.

The free annual event hosted by the National Museum of Americans in Wartime included more than 50 tanks and other military vehicles, as well as 200 living historians portraying units from 1918 to modern times.

The event offers a glimpse into what is planned for the museum's eventual permanent home on 70 acres of Dale Boulevard at Interstate 95. Fore more, visit nmaw.org.
