An overcast sky and early-morning rain kept the turnout on the low side at the annual summer festival at Mountain View High School on Aug. 13.

As the sun cleared out the clouds in the afternoon more visitor came to check out the offerings of some 20 vendors, who offered items ranging from clothing to jewelry, from the New Virginia Majority Education Fund that was signing up citizens to vote to the mobile Crazy 4 Video Game Theater that can be rented for parties.

Staged by planners Riddick Entertainment, the festival also included the music of Desert Wind, and a food trucks offering soulful fare and mid-Eastern staples.

The annual summer fest is expected to return next August at the high school.
