Nancy Lenya Jones

Nancy Lenya Jones was born March 31st 1925 in Flint Hill, Virginia to the late Moses Turner Jones and Ida Jones. She joined Macedonia Baptist Church on November 5th,1977 under Rev, James Price. She was found sitting quietly enjoying the music and message while waiting for the meal.

Nancy was formally married to the late Homer Natt. . 

She was an avid supporter of the Flint Hill VFD. She dedicated much time and energy into selling enough tickets to pay for the grand prize of a vehicle that would be given away at the annual carnival, for over 15 consecutive years. 

Nancy was preceded in death by both parents, two sons Samuel Haddox Jones,Charles Lewis Jones and one son-in-law, Wille “Bill” Parrish. She is survived by three sons Moses Turner,Howard Clayton, his wife Peggy and David Lee. Also by four daughters, Linda Kate Parrish, Sarah Dorthy, Nancy Freeman and husband Forrest and Marina Ida Johnson. Nancy had 26 grandchildren, 75 great grandchildren and 28 great great grandchildren. In addition she had many friends who referred to her as “the ticket lady” 

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday 25, 2019 at the Macedonia Baptist Church Flint Hill, Va. A visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:00 PM Service at 1:00 PM. Family request all flowers be delivered to Horizon Funeral Home 750 Old Brandy Road Culpeper Va 22701, On Friday May 24, by 5PM. Services Entrusted to Horizon Funeral Home, of Culpeper.
