Ten years ago this week, the first edition of Prince William County’s newest newspaper rolled off the presses.
I’m an Eagle Scout. Every now and then, I am invited to a Scouts’ Court of Honor for new Eagles. My friend Ehsan Islam invited me to attend a Troop 5404 Court of Honor recently to watch his son, Safa, become an Eagle.
I have been a member of and occasional donor to the ARTfactory in Old Town Manassas for a long time. I enjoy looking at the creative products of others in every form.
For new arrivals, coming to America is like winning a golden ticket.
I remember the first year it aired. At the time, I didn’t know it was the show’s premiere, or that it was the start of a national holiday tradition. I was a little boy, and I just knew that I wanted to see it.
I like the senior breakfast menu at IHOP – their “Rise and Shine” is my favorite. I stopped there for breakfast one Saturday not long ago. As I waited for my order, I reflected on my last column, about Manassas Mayor Michelle Davis-Younger.
