J.B. Bukauskas of Stone Bridge expects to win whenever he takes the mound.

Stone Bridge High School senior right-hander JB Bukauskas has been named a first-team high school all-American by Louisville Slugger.

Bukauskas was drafted in the 20th round June 7 by Arizona, but he intends to enroll at the University of North Carolina.

Bukauskas went 7-0 this season with a 0.00 ERA and 88 strikeouts and six walks in 41.1 innings.

As a precautionary measure, Bukauskas has been shut down for the rest of the season due to inflammation in his left shoulder. But he will see playing time in the Bulldogs' batting order.

Stone Bridge plays Saturday at 7 p.m. against Hickory in the 5A state semifinals.
