Osbourn Park junior Ethan Wilson might want to find out now when and where Hoops Fest 25 will be held next season and circle that date on the calendar, because he just about owns the event, at least during the past two years.

Wilson won the boys’ three-point event, using hot shooting on the last two racks in each round, and combined with Maddie Scarborough to successfully defend the two-ball championship, aided in each round by the 10-point bonus given for making a shot from each of the seven spots on the court.

It was a successful night for returning players as defending girls’ three-point champion Josie Rodas of Evangel Christian rode a stellar late flurry in both rounds to hold off a brilliant effort by Forest Park’s Lauren Palmateer. Stonewall Jackson’s Isaiah Folkes punctuated the entertaining "main event”—the slam dunk competition—with well-executed dunks in both rounds to win the contest.
