Woodbridge High School sophomore linebacker Antoine Sampah received an offer from defending national champion Alabama Sunday.
Vikings head coach Gary Wortham informed Sampah of the offer after speaking with Alabama defensive coordinator Tosh Lupoi.
Sampah, who entered the season rated as the No. 1 inside linebacker for the class of 2020 by 247sports.com, was a first-team all-6A state selection, while also being named the Occoquan Region and Cardinal District Defensive Player of the Year in helping lead the Vikings to a 12-2 record and a spot in the state semifinals.
The 6-foot-1 Sampah finished the season with 154 tackles, three sacks and six tackles for loss.
Sampah has over 15 offers now, including ones from LSU, Tennessee, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Vanderbilt, Maryland, West Virginia and Louisville.
