College of Charleston junior right-hander Taylor Clarke (Broad Run) was chosen as the 2015 CAA Pitcher of the Year.
Clarke has been one of the most dominant pitchers in the nation this season, posting a 12-1 record with a league-best 1.46 ERA. He struck out a conference-high and school-record 126 batters over 98.2 innings, issued only 14 walks and limited opponents to a .184 batting average.
Clarke is tied for the national lead in wins, ranks fourth in WHIP (0.80), third in total strikeouts, ninth in strikeout/walk ratio (9.0) and 10th in ERA. He is a semifinalist for the Dick Howser Trophy and is on the 30-player Watch List for the Golden Spikes Award. Clarke was also listed on the All-Academic team for his performance in the classroom and community, and his full embodiment of a true student-athlete.
