A number of Yorktown High School football players have made commitments to continue playing the sport in college.

Offensive tackle Nathan Strickland, 6-foot-5, 280-pounds, will play at Division III Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pa.; linebacker Jack McCool (6-2, 200) will join the team at Division III Middlebury College in Vermont; center and long snapper Grayson Owens (6-2, 200) will attempt to make the Division I Virginia Military Institute team as a walk-on; and running back/linebacker Will Cantwell (5-10, 175) will play at Division III Christopher Newport University.

“They all had good seasons for us and were a big part of our team,” Yorktown coach Bruce Hanson said. “They all should have a chance to play in college. Grayson is a good story. He made himself a long snapper and he is very good.”
